Feral energy Why do I love this volume so much? Because of the villians and their growth and their stories, and the way that they love。To quote Mr。 Compress "That sounds like a hero origin story。。。still a villian though。。。" because if these characters got a better hand at life they would have been fantastic heros and this is the story of how they got done dirty by the world instead!!Now, if you know me you know that I love Toga the most out of the villians and we ended the last volume with her a Feral energy Why do I love this volume so much? Because of the villians and their growth and their stories, and the way that they love。To quote Mr。 Compress "That sounds like a hero origin story。。。still a villian though。。。" because if these characters got a better hand at life they would have been fantastic heros and this is the story of how they got done dirty by the world instead!!Now, if you know me you know that I love Toga the most out of the villians and we ended the last volume with her and begin this one with her and her story。 She has always been a girl who has never got to be her true self due to the social expectations put upon her by the world and her story, somewhat, is of her finding her path to being herself。Which can be said for all them。 None of them began their villians journey knowing who they were or what they wanted out of life until they met their found family and started their quest。Twice has such a strong arc of coming into himself fully, and it shows how much he trusts the LoV when he busts in with his sad man parade and Compress and Tamura both question how he's handling his trauma and his response is based off love。 I think it speaks of what kind of man he really is, and what he is capable of doing when he has the mental energy。Tomura himself has such a glow up from where he began that you can just look at him and tell that he is no longer the same brat that stood in an open air mall and threatened a teenage boy。 This man wouldn't have even threatened Deku he would have done the deed and got out of there, I'm so impressed with his character。And we got his backstory, which is so tragic that you have to feel like he deserves the world, and to destroy it just to build it around the wants and needs of his own found family。 Its a shame if this man doesn't get his way with the kinda glow up he's had。 。。。more

This was an interesting entry in the series。 It focused on the villains and how they became who they are。 It makes them more intriguing。

First of all, I have to say, this cover is amazing! This is a pure villain volume, which is awesome。 It focuses on the League and its members and how they get to where they are today with snippets of their backstories。There's a huge and chaotic battle between the Meta Liberation Army and the League of Villains, and it's so epic to see! The League go up against almost impossible odds, and although they're the bad guys, you really root for them to win! They surprised themselves, and us, with powerups too! Most members develop their Quirks in the life-or-death situation, and it's so cool to see them in action against an enemy that isn't a pro-hero or the U。A。 kids。 Powers expand, and more is revealed about each member as the fight rages on。 The League are up against a very formidable enemy。 The Meta Liberation Army seem to have really worked on their Quirks in hiding, and they're pretty powerful opponents。 Yet, with their power developments and their skill at working together, it makes you fear how powerful they are now。 They'll no doubt meet Midoriya and the other kids again at some point in the future, and they'll be back bigger and better than ever!We see the relationships between the League members as they fight alongside one another, and get a better look into their personalities。 My favourite member of the League definitely has to be Twice。 his relationship with Toga is so sweet and loving, and he will do anything for her, even overcome his trauma in order to save her。 The members of the League are surprisingly tight with one another。 They're all misfits from various walks of life, but they come together and fight as one when needed。We also get snippets into many of the members' backstories。 Mostly Toga, Twice, Spinner, and Shigaraki。 They've all had some awful pasts that bring them together。 It gives us a deeper look into each of the characters and why they've become the way they are today。The major backstory we learn about is Shigaraki。 We know he's the grandson of Nana Shimura, All Might's mentor and ex-user of One For All, but here we get a look at his childhood and home life。 We see where his hatred and anger comes from, and how All For One really stokes this fire inside of him, leading him to become the hateful and vengeful man we know today。Who doesn't love a pure villain-novel? It's full of surprises and twists that'll leave your jaw hanging open in shock and awe。 I cannot wait to see how the battle ends in the next volume!More reviews on my blog。 。。。more

While it's certainly nice to get some backstory and character depth for the villains, I wish the plot of this little storyline wasn't so incredibly boring。 It just feels so detached from the actual series I can't bring myself to care about the "Liberation Army" or whether or not the League is going to defeat them。The characters remain very interesting, I'll say that, but the story could've been better。 While it's certainly nice to get some backstory and character depth for the villains, I wish the plot of this little storyline wasn't so incredibly boring。 It just feels so detached from the actual series I can't bring myself to care about the "Liberation Army" or whether or not the League is going to defeat them。The characters remain very interesting, I'll say that, but the story could've been better。 。。。more
